The Intimacy Professional Accelerator Program is our foundational program, and includes Phases 1–3. It is fully online and can be completed at your own pace.

The Certification Program is the FULL experience (Phases 1-5). You get advanced choreography practice, in-person training, and personalized mentorship to help you thrive in the entertainment industry. Participants who successfully pass the assessments of the Certification Program will become certified with IDC and listed in the professional database on our website.

Not at all! There are no prerequisites to enroll in IDC’s Accelerator Program or the Certification Program. All IDC training begins with Phase 1 to ensure consistent standards and methodology.

The program is designed to be completed in under a year, but there’s no pressure to move at any pace other than your own. You have the freedom to move in a way that aligns with your life and your learning style.

Phases 1–3 are fully online and self-paced, and you’ll get lifetime access to the community and all skill-building and group sessions. Whenever you need to pause, slow down, or take time to grow in a specific area, this program gives you the flexibility to do that without losing momentum.

When it’s time to move into Phase 4, you’ll choose from a variety of choreography workshop dates and select the one that works best for your schedule. This program isn’t about rushing towards a final goal; it’s about helping you become the best intimacy professional you can be.

Yes. Customers must complete all of the phases (Phases 1-5) sequentially in order to progress through the certification process. IDC's programming is designed to build knowledge step by step.

While IDC values a variety of different backgrounds and experiences, all participants are required to complete the full certification process to ensure shared knowledge and standards. 

Additionally, for IDC to maintain our accreditation with SAG-AFTRA, we must ensure that all participants have completed a set number of training hours and requirements.

Absolutely! IDC’s certification program is globally recognized, and IDC Certified Intimacy Professionals are working on 6 out of 7 continents! (Sorry, Antarctica).

International students are welcome to join our global community of Intimacy Professionals! The vast majority of the program takes place online, making certification much more accessible globally! Please note that Phase 4 requires participation in an in-person workshop that is typically held in New York City. Participants will be responsible for traveling to this workshop in order to complete the program requirements.  

If you are an international student, there are a few things you may want to consider. Our curriculum is conducted in English and focuses on the protocols and guidelines specific to the United States. International participants may need to reference local guidelines and legal authorities for best practices.

NOTE: International students are warmly welcomed into our global community! However, please note that the course language is in English and the content is primarily designed for the U.S. market.

Upon enrollment, you may schedule an optional one-on-one Onboarding Call to discuss your goals, concerns, and support needs as you move through the Certification Program. This call provides a live touchpoint to connect you with resources for success.

You’ll also gain immediate access to our Online Community, plus monthly Group Mentorship and Skill-Building Sessions to enhance your coursework.

The In-Person Choreography Workshop offers hands-on training with fellow participants and IDC’s instructors currently working with HBO, Netflix, Broadway, and more. After this workshop, you’ll receive one debrief session with your instructors. Then, once you book your first gig, you’ll be paired with a mentor for at least two one-on-one sessions to discuss your work and ongoing support needs.

While IDC is not an agency and does not place people directly, we give you strong tools to connect with opportunities. 

Certified Professionals in good standing are featured in our public, searchable database used by theatres, production companies, and industry leaders to hire intimacy professionals. You’ll also gain access to supportive community spaces for networking and mentorship. 

Though we cannot guarantee work, IDC certification provides the recognition, credibility, and connections that help open doors in this growing field.

At IDC, we offer installment plans to make our programs more financially accessible. Please note, installments are not subscriptions. All installment plans must be paid in full, regardless of continued participation in the program. Full details can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

We aim to keep the process clear and supportive so participants can focus on their training goals.

As part of your enrollment in the Accelerator Program, all customers receive a 365-day free trial subscription to the IDC Online Community. At the end of your 365-day trial, you will automatically be enrolled in our Monthly Subscription for $29/month so you can continue enjoying all the benefits without interruption.

If you decide that the Online Community isn’t for you, you can cancel anytime before the renewal date by logging in to your account and updating your account settings. Full details can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

Participants who enroll in the Certification Program enjoy lifetime access to the Online Community, and no subscription is required.
